Barielle - Blossom

Hello! Hello!

I've got a BEAUTIFUL color today. It's a very hard color to describe as it is to photograph but I did my best. The Barielle website describes it as a Peach color, whereas I feel that it's an almost neon peachy pink and if you're lucky in the right light it will look orange. The Barielle site claims that this is an opaque color but I got to disagree. It was a little streaky going on and I can see through the polish on to my finger on the same spot in [almost] every finger [about a millimeter and a half between the white and middle of the nail]. Knowing that I have 2 fairly thick coats of polish on and still being able to see through is one of my biggest pet peeves when it comes to polish but I still love Blossom because it's such a unique color and it's so beautiful that I can't hold a little sheerness against it.

P.S. Forgive the unevenness of my nails, they have been peeling and breaking on me a lot lately and I think it's because of the filing so I am trying an experiment and not filing my nails for a month to see if there's any improvement.

Barielle - U-Concrete-Me

Hello! Hello!

Here is a wonderful grey from Barielle. I own a couple different greys from OPI and I am sorry to say that by far I prefer this one. Because it's a grey it's a little bit of a difficult color to capture 'on film' so to speak, but very beautiful nonetheless. I actually wore this for a full week, which for me is rare.

Barielle - Do Unto Others

Hello! Hello!

I absolutely LOVE this polish! I love the color, I love the consistency, and I love the formula. There really is nothing about it that I do not like. It's just a really beautiful color and there is not a whole else to say about it.

So without much further ado here is the swatch!

Barielle - Decadence

Hello! Hello!

So it would seem that Barielle is slowly catching up with my OPI collection in terms of number of bottles. But only because every time I see a 'new' color I fall in love because usually it's not like anything that I already own so I have to have it! This one was another one that proved difficult to photograph [mind you I do not have a professional camera by any means]. For a better picture check out http://www.letthemhavepolish.com/2011/07/random-swatchy-spam-part-3.html

I messed with the ISO setting on my cam to get this pic because it kept photographing a lot more bluer than it is in real life - personal opinion

Barielle - Slate of Affairs

 Hello! Hello!

Of course another Barielle shade! This one a little older than the rest but still beautiful color. It proved a little difficult to photograph because of the very subtle but beautiful shimmer.

Slate of affairs is from a collection where Barielle teamed up with All Lacquered Up nail blogger [ http://www.alllacqueredup.com ] to create this collection of 12 beautiful shades, hence the name of the collection.

Hope you enjoy!

Barielle - Jess' Champagne Toast

Hello! Hello!

I got here another Barielle Swatch. Now this is one that when I got I was SOOO excited to try it out and it looks amazing in the bottle. However once on the nails it's a little disappointing. It's not as opaque as I thought it was going to be and the sparkle doesn't show through as much as I thought. In the bottle it just seems to have a OOMPH that disappears on the nail. However once I got past that I really do like the color quite a bit- it's very pretty and feminine. This is going to be one of those picture heavy posts because it's a color that is difficult to capture in pictures. Hope you enjoy!

RGB - Mink

Hello! Hello!

Here is a nail polish brand I had never heard of before until I got this full size bottle of it in the color Mink in my monthly Glymm Box.

A bottle of this polish costs $16 and it's for 12 ml where as with OPI you get for 15 ml per bottle for $6-10 depending on where you get it. The quality of the RGB polish is really good. It's very opaque which I am always a fan of. The formula is also on the thicker side which is better than watery formulas but I do wish that it was a teeny tiny bit thinner.
As far as color goes I really do enjoy the color and it's perfect for fall. One small unimportant detail that I did not enjoy and found annoying was the brush handle length, it's a little short for a my short stubby fingers and I find that with a longer handle I have more control.
